$300M NJ statehouse renovation wraps up as governor moves in

New Jersey Government

According to the Asbury Park Press, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and his administration began moving back into the building last week. Work remains to be done on the building’s façade, and it’s unclear when the public will once again have access to the building. Former Gov. Chris Christie announced the project in late 2016, saying renovations were needed because the building was unsafe. Christie called it a “fire trap” at the time.

I’ve had my dream job of waking up with all the great listeners and members of Brookdale Public Radio since January 3, 2005. Prior to this job, I began my career in radio at NJ 101.5 FM as a producer. From there, I took time off from radio to do other things. (including becoming a mom!)
