A Change May Be Coming Monmouth Park

Crowds gather at Monmouth Park for events like their FoodTruck Festival

The local racetrack, established in 1870 may be seeing some changes in the future.

Monmouth Park may soon be seeing a redevelopment that includes 350 units of 55 and up rental housing as well as a 200-room hotel. The Asbury Park Press is reporting that the plan was presented for the first-time last week at the Oceanport Borough Council meeting.

This weekend Monmouth Park will host its annual $1 million race, the Haskell Invitational on Saturday.
