TRENTON – Human Services today announced that the 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORTs) are now operational. MCORTs are a voluntary service available statewide to individuals ages 18 years and older in non-life-threatening situations who have contacted the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners hosted a forest fire information session at Huber Woods Park with presentations from the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Monmouth County Park System, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service and the Middletown Fire Department to discuss measures taken during a forest fire on March 6.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on March 10, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Berkeley Township Police Department received a 911 call in reference to two gunshot victims at a residence on Drake Drive. Responding Officers discovered a male and female victim each suffering from a gunshot wound; the victims are husband and wife. Both victims were airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where they are each listed in critical but stable condition.

Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon is advising voters that a new state law has extended the early, in-person voting period for the primary election. The Early Voting period for the 2025 Primary Election will now be six days, beginning on Tuesday, June 3, and continuing through Sunday, June 8.
