Middletown, NJ – On April 22, 2024, Chief R. Craig Weber announced that the Middletown Twp. Police Department will once again be participating in the “National Take Back Initiative” in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New Jersey Division, and other state and local law enforcement agencies. The program will occur on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10:00am until 2:00pm at the Middletown Township Police Headquarters, located at 1 Kings Highway.

Wilson Ave in Middletown will be officially rechristened Van Zandt Way after brothers Steven and Billy, who grew up in the township. A ceremony will be held at 11am Friday, April 26th at the corner of Wilson and Cherry Tree Farm Rd.
