FREEHOLD – An Asbury Park man has been convicted of stabbing his ex-girlfriend a little over a year ago, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced Tuesday.

Giancarlo Nevarez of Millstone has been charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

When police responded to an unrelated matter at the Howell residence of 29-year-old Christopher Sanchez in late March of 2023, they discovered the body of a cat outside the home.

FREEHOLD – A female Howell resident has been criminally charged in connection with a fatal three-vehicle crash in mid-January that claimed the life of a 3-year-old girl and injured others, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced Friday.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has revealed that 32-year-old Kenneth Knapp Jr. of Matawan pled guilty to charges of first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter and second-degree Desecration of Human Remains earlier this week.
