A paving and recycling company in the area is set to be sold. Stavola is set to be sold to Dallas, TX based Arcoca, Inc.

The US Army Corp of Engineers have shared some welcomed news for a waterway in Northern Ocean County.

According to NJ.com, the body of a 29-year-old Old Bridge who was missing after a kayaking trip was recovered yesterday afternoon.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on July 26, 2024, the Honorable Guy P. Ryan, P.J.Cr.P., sentenced Dion Marsh, 29, of Manchester, to 30 years New Jersey State Prison – without the possibility of parole – as a result of his previously entered guilty plea to Terrorism in connection with a series of violent incidents that occurred in Lakewood Township and Jackson Township on April 8, 2022. Marsh pled guilty to the charge before Judge Ryan on January 24, 2024.

Last week Stop & Shop announced they plan on closing 32 stores in five states with a number in New Jersey, some located in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Due to an emergency repair at the company’s Jumping Brook Water Treatment Plant and increased summer demands, New Jersey American Water is issuing a mandatory water conservation restriction for customers in Monmouth and Ocean Counties for the next 48 hours.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on June 25, 2024, Naomi Elkins, 27, of Lakewood, was charged with two counts of Murder, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, all in connection with the deaths of her two children on June 25, 2024.

The recall is based around potential salmonella contamination by the product made at the Rise Baking Company in Springdale, Arizona between May 2nd and June 6th of this year

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Jackson Township Police Chief Matthew Kunz announced that the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit-Vehicular Homicide Squad and the Jackson Township Police Department are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist that occurred on Farmingdale Road at approximately 12:00 p.m. on June 9, 2024.

In a presentation to investors last Thursday, Stop & Shop parent company Ahold Delhaize announced that they will be closing some underperforming locations in the near future, in an effort to keep the Stop & Shop brand healthy.
